COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 22,5 ml Midori
- 15 ml Blanco Tequila
- 15 ml Mezcal
- 15 ml Ancho Reyes Verde Liqueur
- 15 ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 90 ml Chilled Soda Water
GARNISH:
- Cucumber
- Tajin Seasoning
INSTRUCTIONS:
• Rim part of the cocktail glass with Tajin seasoning.
• Combine all of the ingredients except soda water in a cocktail shaker.
• Add ice and shake until chilled.
• Strain into a prepared cocktail glass over fresh ice.
• Top with chilled soda water.
• Garnish with a cucumber fan and cucumber ribbon.

Midori, tequila and chillies, once I heard about this combo I was immediately intrigued. Something about it left me puzzled: it sounded like it could work and couldn’t at the same time, so naturally I had to test it.
Base of this cocktail is split between vegetal forward blanco tequila and bold smokiness of mezcal – a killer combination taking the best of both worlds. Addition of Midori brings loads of bright sweetness wrapped in the vibrant notes of melon. Ancho Reyes Verde liqueur introduces fresh, herbal notes with a touch of spiciness completely altering the flavour profile of the cocktail and adding a ton of complexity. Fresh lime juice, further brightens the drink, by giving it a tart zingy edge. Finally, addition of soda water lengths the cocktail allowing it to reveal itself in a more subtle way while also providing that satisfying effervescence.
