Regal Amburana
COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 60 ml Aged Cachaça
- 22,5 ml Honey Syrup
- 26 ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 5 cm Grapefruit Peel
GARNISH:
- Lime Wheel
- Couple Mint Leaves
- Dried Clover Blossom
INSTRUCTIONS:
• Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
• Add ice and shake until chilled.
• Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
• Garnish with a lime wheel, a couple of mint leaves and a dried clover blossom.

Sasha Petraske and his bar Milk & Honey was at the epicentre of the cocktail renaissance and brought to us a number of modern classic cocktails, as well as giving the start to many bartenders without which today’s cocktail world would be unimaginable. Regal Amburana is a perfect example of the masterful simplicity of Milk & Honey cocktails.
Base of the cocktail is aged cachaça imparting distinct grassy almost vegetal notes enriched by subtle undertones of nuts, vanilla and cinnamon. Fresh lime juice, gives the cocktail a lively tart kick with honey syrup bringing back the balance, while at the same time introducing a deliciously floral flavour paring very well with the aged nature of the base spirit. Last, but not least, regal shake with grapefruit peel imparts a gentle citrus bitterness for further flavour complexity.
Regal Amburana is not a difficult cocktail in terms of specs, but it is incredibly delicious while staying paired back to the minimum, simple and effective. Prefect drink for seasoned cocktail lovers.
