Rhubarb Cuddle
COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 60 ml Aged Blended Rum
(Come Hell or High Water Reserva)
- 37,5 ml Rhubarb Syrup
- 15 ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 7,5 ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 Dash of Plum Bitters
GARNISH:
- Lemon Twist
- Seasonal Flower
INSTRUCTIONS:
• Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
• Add ice and shake until chilled.
• Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
• Garnish with a lemon twist and a seasonal flower.

Rum and Rhubarb are the two flavours, that for me, always associate with summer. This year I wanted to try and combine the two into a single summer themed cocktail. The result was a bright, fragrant drink I decided to call Rhubarb Cuddle. This cocktail has been created in collaboration with Come Hell or High Water utilising the qualities of their Reserva rum.
Base of the cocktail is blended aged rum, preferably Come Hell or High Water Reserva, with aged notes of molasses, tropical fruit, toasted nuts and oak, creating a complex and sophisticated base. It is then paired with tangy, fruity rhubarb syrup – a flavour you cannot mistake for anything else. A mix of lemon and lime juices balances the cocktail out with a dose of refreshing tartness. Last but not least, plum bitters bind everything together into a cohesive whole, while subtly increasing the overall flavour complexity.
Rhubarb Cuddle is a fun and joyful summer style drink perfectly suited for summer gatherings and terrace parties. It will definitely become a permanent addition to my cocktail repertoire.
