Grenadya Swizzle

COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 6 to 7 Mint Leaves
- 60 ml Dark Rum
- 30 ml Passion Fruit Syrup
- 15 ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 5-6 Dashes of Angostura Bitters

GARNISH:
- Mint Sprig

INSTRUCTIONS:
• Slap the mint to release the aroma.
• In a cocktail glass combine mint leaves, rum, passion fruit syrup and lime juice.
• Add crushed ice, so the glass is at least half full.
• Swizzle until the ingredients fully mix and chill.
• Top with more crushed ice and Angostura bitters.
• Garnish with a sprig of mint.

Base of the cocktail is molasses rich dark rum with notes of tropical spice and dried fruits, steering the cocktail in a distinct direction. Passionfruit syrup further expands on the tropical theme with a delicate balance between sweet and tart as well as its unique flavour profile. Addition of lime juice, the staple of tropical drinks, provides the fresh tart kick with mint giving a further cooling herbaceous effect. Finally, the Angostura bitters, give the cocktail not only the signature look, but a boost of bold tropical spice notes.
