Next cocktail on my Sarti Rosa series is Grapefruit Fever. It is a light, simple to make and refreshingly effervescent drink, perfectly suited for the warm summer days.

Base of this cocktail is gin. London dry will do just fine, but I particularly love Plymouth gin with its juniper and angelica root notes. Sarti Rosa adds the distinctive fruitiness comprised of blood orange, passionfruit and mango, that define the overall flavour profile. Touch of lemon juice brings some refreshing tartness and a bit of summer spirit, while simple syrup establishes the balance and lets the fruit notes pop just a bit more. Pink grapefruit soda water, further builds on the lightness giving this cocktail a bit of effervescence and bitter-sweet acidity. Last and probably one of the most important steps is a couple of dashes of grapefruit bitters. It really brings this cocktail to life and gives it a bit more complexity.

Grapefruit Fever is simple summer cocktail and a fun little experiment for me. Light, colourful and tasty drink, to make a day just a little bit brighter.
