Getaway Car
COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 30 ml Aged Blended Jamaican Rum
- 30 ml Ancho Reyes Chilli Liqueur
- 45 ml Pineapple Juice
- 15 ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 15 ml Simple Syrup
GARNISH:
- Pineapple Spears
- Drier Clover Bud
- Orange Twist
INSTRUCTIONS:
• Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
• Add a little bit of pebble ice and shake until chilled.
• Strain into a cocktail glass over fresh pebble ice.
• Garnish with pineapple spears, dried clover bud and an orange twist.

Jungle Bird is a tiki cocktail that needs no introduction and is always delicious and satisfying. Getaway Car draws inspiration from this classic and gives it a unique, spicy spin – taking the cocktail in a completely new direction.
Base of the cocktail is a bold funky Jamaican rum full of molasses, cane sugar and ripe banana notes, often associated with this type of rum. Ancho Reyes chilli liqueur takes place of Campari, increasing flavour complexity with subtle herbal notes and a lively kick of spicy chilli. Pineapple juice further develops tropical nature of the drink with distinct fruitiness, while lime juice provides tart freshness. Last, but not least, a splash of simple syrup establishes the balance between sweet, sour and spicy for the best possible drinking experience.
All in all, Getaway Car is deliciously unique take on the Jungle Bird, clearly inspired by it, but not a carbon copy. Perfect cocktail for the warm days right around the corner.
