Blackberry & Tequila Tommy
COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 6 Fresh Blackberries
- 50 ml Tequila Blanco
- 25 ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 25 ml Agave Syrup
GARNISH:
- Blackberry
- Edible Flower
INSTRUCTIONS:
• Muddle the blackberries in a cocktail shaker.
• Add rest of the ingredients.
• Add ice and shake until chilled.
• Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
• Garnish with a blackberry and an edible flower.

Muddled fruit seems to be a little under-utilized weapon in a bartender’s arsenal. Perhaps it is due to the mess it creates, but sometimes it is absolutely worth it. Blackberry and Tequila Tommy is one of such cocktails – simple, but incredibly tasty.
Base of the cocktail is blanco tequila with those familiar bold vegetal agave notes setting the tone for the drink. Muddled blackberries bring sweet, slightly tangy fruitiness and earthiness to the mix, blending well with the base spirit while also providing a touch more complexity. Tartness of lime juice, livens the cocktail up, making it brighter and crisper. Lastly, a touch of agave syrup balances the drink ensuring the most pleasurable tasting experience.
