Evenings are getting longer, colder and darker, which can only mean one thing, it is time for boozy stir-down cocktails. Away Colours blends delicious aged rum with amaro and banana liqueur for a remarkably satisfying sipper.
Base of the cocktail is añejo rum full of molasses, caramel, toffee and tropical spice notes enriched by the dryness of oak aging. Fernet-Branca brings bitter-sweet herbal complexity to the mix, blending with rum and lifting the cocktail to a new level. Last, but certainly not least is banana liqueur providing tropical fruit sweetness that binds seamlessly with rum, while at the same time giving it a sweet boost.
All in all, Away Colours is a delicious, satisfying evening sipper full of delicate notes and complex flavour. Perfect reason to crack open a good bottle of rum.
