Rum and Ramazzotti
COCKTAIL INGREDIENTS:
- 45 ml Dark Rum
- 22,5 ml Amaro Ramazzotti
- 52,5 ml Pineapple Juice
- 15 ml Fresh Lime Juice
GARNISH:
- Lime Wheel
- Cherry
- Pineapple Spears
INSTRUCTIONS:
• Combine all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
• Add ice and shake until chilled.
• Strain into a cocktail glass over fresh pebble ice.
• Garnish with a few lime wheels, skewered cherry and pineapple spears.

Jungle Bird is one of the best-known tiki cocktails worldwide. Combination of black strap rum and Campari is simply divine. Rum and Ramazzotti draws inspiration from this tropical classic and with couple substitutions create something completely new.
Base of the cocktail is dark rum with pronounced molasses, caramel, coffee, chocolate and oak notes. Amaro Ramazzotti takes place of Campari and pairs incredibly well with dark rum, by complementing the base spirit with bitter-sweet flavours of liquorice, cola, oranges and cinnamon. Generous addition of pineapple juice keeps the tropical theme going with distinct sweet and tart fruitiness while fresh lime juice livens the drink with a sharp tart kick ready to wake anyone up.
All in all, Rum and Ramazzotti is an interesting take on the classic jungle bird, slightly deeper and bolder, but nonetheless flavourful and intriguing. In my opinion the recipe needs a little tuning, but it is absolutely worth a taste.
