Manhattan is a well-known and beloved classic, that has served as an inspiration to hundreds of cocktails throughout its history and Monte Carlo is one of them. Rye whiskey cocktail with a delicious herbal liqueur twist.

Base of the cocktail is rye whiskey with prominent spicy, peppery notes followed by the aged oak, gentle vanilla and dried fruit tones. Whiskey is the star of this drink with liqueur and bitters playing only a supporting role. Benedictine brings sweet, herbal flavours with subtle honey like warmth to the mix, gently taming the boldness of whiskey. Finally, a dash of Angostura bitters adds a touch of tropical spice, helping to draw out the aromatic dimension of the cocktail to the forefront and further expand the cocktail complexity.

All in all, Monte Carlo is a simple and unique riff on the classic Manhattan. Perfect cocktail to warm you up on cold evenings ahead.
