Last Word is a cocktail, that needs no introduction. This classic equal parts drink served as an inspiration to countless other creations and still keeps inspiring bartenders around the world. Yellow takes The Last Word and reinvents it with an inspiring French twist.
Being and equal parts cocktail it does not really have a dominating base and all ingredients play a significant and noticeable role. London Dry gin brings the familiar juniper notes enriched by touches of citrus and coriander. Suze provides the earthy bitterness of gentian root adding depth and complexity to the cocktail. Yellow Chartreuse brings honey like sweetness blended with various herbal notes. Lemon juice takes the cocktail into a sour direction with a refreshingly bright tartness breathing even more life to the cocktail. Finally, lemon peel oils further reinforce this impression of freshness with delicate citrus fragrancy.
All in all, Yellow is a tasty sour style cocktail, that draws inspiration from the classic, but not too literally allowing it to keep it uniqueness. Great option for any cocktail lover.
